Karidi beach is a medium sized cove on the south side of Vourvourou. The beach is a magnet in the summer as it’s one of Sithonia’s most captivating in photos. It is a family friendly beach with shallow water forming what looks like a big aquamarine swimming pool. The beach is not organized, just come with a towel and parasol and put yourself down where there’s room. There are some snack bars to get lunch and some restaurants within walking distance. The sand is soft white and so is the seabottom. Water is very, very shallow so kids are safe.
Access is easy, just drive to the south side of Vourvourou and you will see a sign to Ekies resort, turn here and follow the road to the end. Park amoung the trees and don’t get stuck in the soft sand.

Often crowded and at times the water can get murky as the current carries seaweed into the bay.
