Profile
Kriaritsi beach is a long bay that consists of 2 beaches divided by a crag. Being located in the south of Sithonia and directly facing the open sea, you can get some good waves, but it can also be amazingly calm. There is lots of room to set up camp and some literally do with tents on the far end. The beach drops off steeply and continues to drop off in the water where just 15 m off the shore you can’t touch the bottom. Kriaritsi is a great beach for swimming and windsurfing or just to soak in the sun. This beach is a definite destination to put on your beach list.
Access is a little difficult. You need a car or a good set of legs. Driving north from Kalamitsi a few kilometers, you will arrive at an overpass. Turn right onto a dirt road that will take you into a maze of abandoned streets of a undeveloped community. Follow the written directions, mainly spraypainted on the pavement. The difficulty of getting here is made up for when you arrive.
